Working principle of hydraulic lifting dam

1. A row of hydraulic cylinders are used to directly push the back of the movable water-blocking dam surface with the bottom as the axis to achieve the purpose of raising the dam to block water and lowering the dam to discharge floods.

2. A row of sliding support rods are used to support the back of the movable dam surface (Note: the H-shaped movable double-rod support is used in the project photos, and the sliding single-rod support is more solid in future projects) to form a stable supporting pier dam.

3. The linkage steel hinge wire is used to drive the positioning pin to form a mutual exchange between the fixed and movable supporting pier dams, so as to achieve the purpose of fixed water blocking and movable dam lowering.

4. The buoy switch is used to control the hydraulic system to achieve unmanned management, and the automatic lifting and lowering of the movable dam surface can be realized according to the rise and fall of the flood.

The hydraulic lifting dam not only improves the shortcomings of common dams with metal structures and large civil engineering, but also improves the shortcomings of rubber dams, such as poor safety and reliability, short service life, and dam bags that are easily damaged by floating objects or sharp objects, as well as the characteristics of automatic flap dams that block water, cannot withstand the impact of severe floods, are easily blocked by floating objects or upstream siltation, resulting in failure to automatically flip the flap; at the same time, it also absorbs the advantages of the above three dam types. In recent years, hydraulic lifting dams have been widely used in more and more domestic projects, such as the dam of the third phase of the Leifeng Lake and Longwanggang project in Hunan, the right bank embankment reinforcement project from Qianqiu Bridge to Dongzha section of Hongpu River in Wangjiajing Town, Zhuji City, Zhejiang Province, the Ruoye Creek governance project in Pingshui, Zhejiang Province, and the Xiangjiang River Basin landscape project in Jiuhua Demonstration Zone, Xiangtan.

Features of hydraulic lifting dams:

1. Low cost, good performance, and a service life of up to 50-60 years.

2. It can be tilted at any angle to meet any height of water storage.

3. The dam body is solid and scientific, and the lifting is flexible and stable. The flood discharge is not impacted by objects. When the power is lost under special circumstances, the dam surface can be locked in any position.

4. The wing-shaped dam surface minimizes the impact of wind and waves and waves on the dam surface during flood discharge. The dam surface is equipped with an adjustable spoiler.

5. After the dam body is lowered, it is at the same level as the riverbed, and the flood discharge effect can be achieved without a dam. Even a once-in-a-century flood will not damage it.

6. No matter how wide the river is, there is no need to design dam piers in the river. After the dam body is lowered, no objects can be seen on the river surface, which does not affect flood discharge or shipping. Single block size: 4-10M wide, 1.5-12M high.

7. The Hydraulic Elevator Dam top can be designed in an arc shape, the dam surface can be sprayed with colorful patterns, and floating objects in the upstream can drift from the dam top. When the upstream water volume is large, a long corridor waterfall can be formed, which is very beautiful.

8. The design concept is novel, the driving method is unique, the structure is advanced and reasonable, and the water storage and flood discharge effect is excellent.

9. It can be remotely controlled or monitored indoors without manual operation.

10. A double-pump hydraulic station with accumulator is used, and the electronic control system is a PLC programming control cabinet with a touch screen, which can provide remote monitoring as required.

11. The dam surface adopts a wing-shaped composite metal structure steel plate, and the skeleton is strengthened with profiles. All bearings use self-lubricating bearings.

Advantages of hydraulic lifting dam

1. The hydraulic lifting dam is to input hydraulic oil into the oil cylinder through the oil pump and control valve, and the piston rod in the oil cylinder controls the lifting of the water retaining plate of the river dam (sluice) to complete the lying flood discharge of the vertical water storage.

2. Safety measures during equipment operation

The hydraulic system has multiple operation modes such as automatic, manual and hydraulic, with complete functions, reliable performance, safety and practicality.

The hydraulic system has a one-standby and one-use power switching function to ensure the stable operation of the river dam.

The actuator combined with piston cylinder or plunger cylinder is small in size, large in traction, simple in structure and easy to maintain.

The triple pressure maintenance mode of accumulator + oil pump and control element is adopted to ensure the stable water storage of the river dam and safe flood discharge.

It has the function of automatically detecting faults. When the system pressure is less than the equipment pressure, the alarm will sound and the standby pump will be automatically switched. It reminds the staff to repair the equipment in time.

It has the function of flood discharge without electricity. When the power outage requires flood discharge, the safety ball valve can be opened by hand, and the water retaining plate can automatically drop to the riverbed base to discharge flood.

It has the function of automatic flood discharge. When the river water level reaches the set upper limit, the system will automatically open the dam to discharge flood.

The hydraulic system adopts brand components, which are sensitive and reliable in action, and the performance is stable and safe.

The hydraulic system oil pipeline adopts stainless steel pipe, which does not require maintenance.

In short, the hydraulic lifting dam combines the advantages of rubber dam, cement dam and automatic flap dam, optimizes the shortcomings of traditional dams, and realizes the characteristics of strong structure, excellent performance, good control and long life.
